As a Fundraiser using iDonate, you do not have to directly interact with the funds going through your page.
This is done to save you the effort of handling payments, making your fundraising simpler, and making the whole process more secure for the charities.
However, you may be wondering what exactly happens to the money that you raise?
At the beginning of each month, iDonate transfers all funds raised in the previous month to the respective Causes.
For example, if you create a Fundraiser in January, and run it until March, the donations made in January will be transferred to the Cause in early February, February donations will be transferred in March, and March donations will be transferred in April.
This is done regardless of when the Fundraiser begins or ends. We do not wait until a Fundraiser is closed to transfer the funds, nor do we instantly transfer all remaining funds once your page is closed.
We do have a function for personal fundraising, known as a Crowdfunder.
This is a separate type of page and account from a Fundraiser, and requires more stringent verification to setup.
Crowdfunders are also subject to monthly payouts, just like Fundraisers.
If you would like to raise funds for personal or local reasons, you can register to do so here.
As with the above, payments will come through early each month, usually on or before the 10th.
We organise the payment for the previous month in the first week of each month, which is why it comes through roughly a week into the month.
If you want to have an idea ahead of time as to how much is coming in your next payment, you can go to the Reports section of your admin panel, then choose Overview by Month.
Once the payment has been sent, you will be able to view the Payout Report for more details.
