While making a donation on iDonate, you will likely be asked if you would like to make a Voluntary Contribution to the platform. iDonate does not charge for the use of the platform, neither Causes nor Fundraisers are required to pay in order to raise funds.
iDonate does not take a percentage of donations made, instead we have a Voluntary Contribution option. The donor can choose to leave an extra amount to iDonate to support the running of the website and keep it free of charge for our users.
The contribution appears during the donation process, before confirming the total. A default percentage amount is presented to the donor, who can alter or remove this if they wish.
By operating this way, donors are under no obligation to pay more than the amount they wish to donate, and the only deduction from the funds is the transaction fee, external to iDonate.
