If you are taking part in Pieta's Darkness into Light campaign and using the iDonate Tap app for donations, here are the steps you need to follow to get started.
1 - Download the iDonate Tap app
2 - Sign in
- Open the app and tap Get Started.
- Enter your username and password (your team will provide these).
- Tap Sign In to access your account.
3 - Open your Darkness into Light location page
After signing in, you’ll see the Darkness into Light page for your location.
Tap the page to open it, then tap Accept Tap Donations.
At the top of the screen you’ll see two tabs:
- Donate (donations only)
- Sales (registrations, t-shirts, and optional donation)
Process a donation (Donate tab)
Tap the Donate tab to take a payment
- Hand the phone to the donor (or hold it so they can see the screen).
- The donor selects a donation amount from the pre-set options or enters a custom amount.
- When prompted, they tap their card or phone to your device to pay.
A confirmation screen will appear showing Donation Success. The donation will then appear on your Darkness into Light location page.
Process a registration or t-shirt sale (Sales tab)
The Sales tab is preloaded with the prices for registrations and t-shirts.
- Select the number of Adults, Teens, and/or Children in the party.
- Select the number of t-shirts required.
- If the customer would like to, they can add a donation at this point.
- Check the total at the bottom of the screen, then tap Proceed to Payment.
- The lead registrant fills in their details (one form per party).
- Press Tap To Pay to display the total.
- The terminal screen will prompt the customer to present their card or phone.
Once payment is complete, you’ll see Donation Success.
On this screen, you can select the option to send a receipt to the donor.
They will need to enter their email address here, and the receipt will be sent there.
This step is optional, but recommended.
