My Cause Isn’t Registered on iDonate – What Should I Do?

If you wish to run a Fundraiser, Raffle, or other benefit through iDonate in aid of a charity, school, club or organisation but you cannot find them on the website, what can you do?

If you find yourself in this situation, here are your options:

Check if the Cause is registered

On the Create a Fundraiser page, you can search for any of the Causes registered on iDonate.

This can be a more direct method instead of using the main search bar at the top of the page, as this search will only include Causes registered on the platform.

Even if you are intending to run a Raffle or setup an Event, use the search here to confirm first if your Cause is registered with us.

My Cause doesn’t appear on the list

If the organisation doesn’t appear in this search, it is safe to say they are not registered as a Cause on iDonate. This means that, at present, you will not be able to raise funds for them on our platform.

If you have a point of contact with this Cause, and feel they may be interested, you could recommend that they register with iDonate at this link: https://www.idonate.ie/register-cause

The registration process is free, takes only a few minutes to complete, and no more than 24 hours to go through approval.

As soon as the Cause account has been approved, you’ll be able to set up a Fundraiser in aid of the Cause and start collecting donations straight away!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only individuals directly associated with the cause, such as employees, founders, or authorised representatives, can register the cause on our platform.

The best way to get the cause you wish to fundraise for registered on iDonate as quickly as possible is to contact them directly and ask them to register, it's free to do so! They can register their cause here.

The registration process is quick and straightforward, taking just a few minutes to complete. Once the application is submitted, our team will review and approve it promptly.

After the cause’s application is approved, you’ll be able to set up your fundraising page and start collecting donations right away!
