Whether you have a Fundraiser, Crowdfunder, or Cause account, we will remove your data if you wish.
Here is what you need to know to delete your iDonate account.
Fundraisers can delete their own accounts by logging in here.
On your admin page, click Settings in the menu on the left. Under the My Profile tab, you will find a button labelled Close Account.
Simply click this button and confirm your details to close the account.
You will be asked for a reason for the closure, and to type the word REMOVE to confirm, then click Close Account to complete the process.
Your account and all personal data will then be wiped from our system.
Crowdfunders can update the status of their page at any time.
After you login, you can find a status box in the top right of the admin page.
Here you can change whether your page is open or closed to donations, or choose Hide From Public to remove the page from public view.
If you wish to completely delete your account from the system, you can request this by email sent to helpdesk@idonate.ie
Give us the details of your account and let us know you wish for us to remove it, and we will do so on our end.
Much like with a Crowdfunder, outright deleting a Cause account can only be done by email request to helpdesk@idonate.ie
Cause accounts are a bit more permanent than other accounts, as they represent organisations rather than individuals.
If the Cause is inactive or simply wish to remove their data from public view, this can be done without deleting the account, so it may be reactivated later.
If for any reason the Cause account needs to be removed completely, an email confirming as much from the main admin email on the account will suffice for us to delete the account.
